About

Lodewijk Arntzen

Our applied research group focusses on the design, simulation, fabrication and read out of integrated photonics sensors on the microscale. This research is organized in corporation with a wide range of partners, such as Saxion, Fontys, Erasmus MC, Else Kooi Laboratory (EKL), CITC (Nijmegen) and DOC. Also, a wide range of MSE partners are involved, such as Unitron, CD Leycom, Delta Diagnostics, Vanderhoek Photonics, Sol, SomniTechnobis, Mensura Trading, and more. We integrate (some of) our research with educational projects, such as minor projects, bachelor projects and internships. Our research group is part of the Smart Sensor Systems group (Lector John Bolte). Existing sensor design parameters are optimized in such a way that the performance and the dimensions fit to the requirements as listed by MSE partners. Future and current projects include new microfabricated optical sensors.
